Imagine a little town called Dogwood.
A slice of down-home Americana right here in BX, taking its name from the Flowering
Dogwood tree – the floral emblem of the state of North Carolina.
It’s a nod to some friends who became family, but also a raised glass to family and friends who know that sharing great food and drinks with those you love is about as good as it gets. We wanted to create a diner you could imagine at the heart of the tight-knit community in a town like Dogwood.

In these uncertain times, we now turn to you, our friends who have become family, to help us get through as we adjust. Order some takeaway for pick up, say hello if you see us in the street, support other local businesses. We can’t wait until we can have you all pull up a seat at the bar with us again.
We attended this Central West American themed restaurant for the first time the other night. It was a wonderful experience. The music matched the ambience perfectly – great fun! We were warmly welcomed and attended to by Evan and Jo who could not have been more helpful. I have some dietary constraints and Evan painstakingly helped me work around them. The food (we had steaks and sides) was exquisite and reasonably priced. (Crocodile Dundee would approve of the steak knives!) The soft serve cheesecake which includes a tangy lemon curd is a must! We enjoyed the freshness and cleanliness of the produce. The salads were crunch fresh and the components were all obviously thoroughly washed. I have been to (even up-market) restaurants lately where the washing of the salad components seems to have been neglected. Not here, the salads were immaculate. Six stars out of five in my book! There is plenty of parking just outside the restaurant.
Very traditional American food with super friendly staff members. Their buffalo wings taste exactly like the one I had in the states. They know we have a dog with us and they prepare a bowel of water ahead for our dog. It was a very nice experience and food is amazing. You can’t go wrong with this restaurant
This restaurant, their food and staff are absolutely fantastic. Jo, our host, went above and beyond.. not only was she fun, bubbly and engaging (laughed at my stupid jokes), Jo suggested the best wines that paired perfectly with our meals. Because I’m lazy, we selected the ‘just feed me’ package, and boy, was it sensational. Being a brave whipper snapper I also asked if they had some extra spicy sauces that I could ruin the meals with. I was not disappointed, we were offered a range of sauces from tasty, zesty-spicy, and then straight out painful… to be fair, I passed on the later because I don’t want it to ruin what was about to be a degustation of decadence. Every aspect of the dishes paired perfectly with each other, from the buffalo wings and smoked pork croquettes, to Mac n cheese, paired with crispy southern fried chicken, brined pressed pork belly and Tri-tip steak with herb salt paired with a sensational slaw. And if that wasn’t enough, I found just enough room to explore the decant desserts… pecan pie and soft serve New York cheesecake. Both were subtle and not overly sweet… a bit like me really! If you want a fun night served by amazing staff, offering fantastic food, wines and dessert, then you’d be foolish not to choose Dogwood BX. I wish I had four hands so I could give this four thumbs up. 😎
We came in literally minutes before the kitchen closed (unbeknownst to us) & the staff were lovely & didn't make us feel as if we were a burden. They were all so friendly & everything we ordered was delicious. The cocktails were fantastic too - great Tommy's margarita! The wings were definitely a highlight. I ordered them for myself but got about half as my husband couldn't keep his hands out of them. Looking forward to returning (at a more reasonable time) next time we visit Bathurst.
